Dragonfly Now Foundation , the host of Celebration of Oneness, is a rapidly growing music and media company targeting the Cultural Creative audience, one which makes up one quarter of the population in the United States and Europe.
What is a Cultural Creative? A Cultural Creative is one that moves toward changing his or her life to include less stress, greater health, lower consumption, increased spirituality, more respect for the earth and the diversity within and among the species that inhabit it.
Culture Creatives are indeed a force to be reckoned with. In a recent CNN interview, Paul H. Ray, a world-renowned social scientist and management consultant, said "The Cultural Creatives today have, in just the United States, a disposable income after taxes of about $1.1 trillion."
Dragonfly Now Foundation supports the work of musicians, artists and teachers as well as like-minded organizations and humanitarian project. For more information visit www.dragonflynowfoundation.org.
the history
Four years ago, Colleen Cackowski was a successful marketing executive who was certain that it was her paycheck, relationship, and the world around her that gave her security. When these presumed “anchors” began failing, Colleen found herself seeking new answers and looking for true confidence in herself and the world.
After 30+ years as a serious music aficionado, and nearly 20 years of corporate marketing and management, Colleen Cackowski found herself developing a strong interest in the growing practice of kirtan, or using chanting Sanskrit mantras in a musical context for the purpose of self-development and spiritual evolution.
Aware that there was a growing market for mantra-based music through her work with internationally recognized musicians Deva Premal and Miten, Colleen started promoting live events for musicians in this category, including Rasa, Deva Premal and Miten, Dave Stringer, Jai Uttal, Wah!, Suvarna and others. She soon realized however, that while individual concerts were extremely successful, they were not far-reaching enough. Colleen then launched Dragonfly Now Foundation to bring transformational experiences to mass audiences via large-scale events and concerts. In addition she created the record label Dragonfly Now, LLC to produce music and media products for these audiences.
The target audience of Dragonfly Now Foundation are Cultural Creatives, thousands of whom will unite on Saturday, December 9 and Sunday, December 10, 2006 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium for Dragonfly Now Foundation’s first annual Celebration of Oneness festival and expo.
